Levin Announces Webinars and Workshops on Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., announced today that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will offer five interactive webinars and six workshops in May and June to assist Michigan fire departments and emergency medical service agencies with the process of applying for a 2012 grant through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
“These federal grants help our firefighters and EMS personnel continue their vital mission,” Levin said. “I encourage fire departments and EMS agencies across the state to participate either in person or online in one of these workshops or webinars.”
To join the webinar, participants need to click on the appropriate link as well as call the telephone number and enter the PIN number. All participants will be able to see the slide presentation and have the opportunity to ask questions.
