Friday, May 25, 2012

WASHINGTON – Following is a statement by Sen. Carl Levin, chairman of the  Senate Armed Services Committee, on the Memorial Day holiday:

“Each year, Americans pause on Memorial Day to remember those have served our country, and especially those who have paid the ultimate price to defend us and our freedoms. This Memorial Day weekend, as brave Americans serve their nation in far-away places and their loved ones anxiously await a homecoming, we should reflect on the enormous sacrifices of our troops and their families, from our nation’s founding until today.”
